About

Dale Pillars

Living in Byron Bay and Asia I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice…

I can do a handstand on my Malibu at Byron Bay Pass, dodging sharks, for over 100 feet so far, I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I write award-winning things, I manage time efficiently.

Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row and also breed prizewinning abalones.

Using only a hoe and a large glass of beer, I once single-handedly defended a small village in Borneo from a horde of ferocious army ants. I also play the didgeridoo, I was scouted by the UN, I am the subject of numerous nature documentaries. When I’m bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding up to 40,000 feet where it’s -50C and I black out.

My professional career has predominantly spanned design/advertising/marketing with intermittent long stints of coding and interactive media production, and subsequent developer roles throughout my professional career. I also spent considerable time in business development focusing on establishing solid strategic alliances & channel partners for the dissemination of our professional services across the global market.

I’m a social entrepreneur and dedicate my time to projects helping others and empowering youth in developing nations to reach their goal as social entrepreneurs, of which sustainable social business models creating lasting, global impact are expected key outcomes.

As a key mentor with the YSEI program, supported by the GKP (Global Knowledge Partnership) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, I’m coaching up and coming youth social entrepreneurs in developing nations to successfully achieve their set goals and targets, as stipulated in the business plans we developed together during the initial stage of their program.

I believe that any young person with innovative ideas, commitment and vision for social change should have a chance to emerge as a social entrepreneur and create lasting impact through solving global challenges.

I’m an environmentally conscious surfer, aware of my social responsibilities. I’ve traveled extensively since an early age and gained valuable insight and awareness along the way, for which I’m eternally grateful.

In the community, I support the socially motivated, award winning, cause related foundations: SolvePoverty.com and OrphanIT.com.
